WHAT TO EXPECT

If you are an orthodontic candidate and the time is right for your treatment to begin, we will schedule your appointment to get started. On that day, we will either place your braces or deliver your appliance (expander, Invisalign aligners, etc.…) Our team will provide you with all the necessary information for you to being your journey to straight teeth.

You will then schedule regular appointments at eight to ten week intervals for adjustments. Understandably, most patients prefer not to miss school or work for orthodontic appointments. We recognize this and rotate appointments to make it fair for everyone.

Recognizing that your time is valuable, it is our goal to see you on time for each appointment. We have spent a great deal of time formatting our schedule to the minute. We aim to begin your appointment exactly at the time it was scheduled and not keep you waiting.

If an unforeseen circumstance occurs that causes you to be late for your appointment, please contact the office as soon as you can. In this situation, we may be able to let you wait for an opening in the schedule or you may choose to reschedule at the next convenient time. We do not see patients on a “walk-in” basis.

The length of your treatment time is directly affected by missing scheduled appointments. Missed appointments and broken or loose appliances can easily delay your treatment time.

It is very important that you continue to visit your dentist once every six months, even during orthodontic treatment, for dental cleanings and dental checkups.
