MEET DR. MASON CHILDERS

Born and raised in Benton, IL, Dr. Mason is passionate about serving his hometown community alongside his father. He attended Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, where he played collegiate football for four years, and later earned his DDS from the University of Pacific in San Francisco. Following dental school, Dr. Mason decided to follow in his father's footsteps and completed his orthodontic residency in Atlanta, Georgia.

Upon completion of his residency, he was awarded the Dr. John W. Stockstill Outstanding Researcher Award - “presented to the resident who exemplifies dedication to research and the scholarly contribution to the orthodontic profession”. He’s also an active member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontics, and Southern Illinois Dental Society.

When he’s not transforming smiles, Dr. Mason loves to spend his time outdoors deer hunting, cheering for Ole Miss football, and spending time with wife, Jalena, and their two cats; Tabasco and Valentina. His favorite part about working at Childers Orthodontics? “Working in a family environment with team members I have known my whole life, and giving back to the community that has given so much to me”.
